How to organize a closet that actually works every morning.

Start with how you get dressed — not with what you own. The order of operations matters more than the storage.

Four rules we use on every closet:

1. Eye level is prime real estate. Whatever you wear weekly goes there. Nothing else.
2. Fold what creases least, hang what creases most. Not the other way around.
3. Sort by category first, colour second. You reach for a shirt before you reach for the blue one.
4. Leave one empty shelf. Every closet needs room to breathe as your wardrobe shifts.
