Oud Satin Mood — when rose and oud tell a completely different story 🌹🪵
Usually, the combination of rose and oud gives me that distinctive sourness you often find in Eastern fragrances — slightly dry, spicy, intense.
But Satin Mood is a completely different story.
I’ve had this fragrance in my collection for a long time, but when you have an entire army of bottles 😅, you simply can’t wear the same scent all the time.
Yesterday, I was preparing an order for a client, spotted Satin Mood again — and thought: how could I have forgotten how beautiful this is? 🫠
For me, this is one of the most beautiful interpretations of rose and oud.
There are two roses here, and you can clearly smell both.
🌹 The first is bright, airy, almost watercolor-like.
🌹 The second is softer, powdery, lipstick-like and velvety. It wraps around the skin like the finest silk.
And then there’s the oud — noble, deep, but never harsh or overpowering.
Vanilla, amber and caramel add warmth, softness and that luxurious depth.
And this is what I love most: the rose and oud don’t compete here.
They melt into each other, creating something smooth, velvety, silky and incredibly refined.
This is where you can really feel that classic French touch of Francis Kurkdjian — taking an Eastern-inspired combination and giving it a distinctly French elegance.
For me, Satin Mood is one of the most beautiful takes on rose and oud. ❤️
Feminine. Luxurious. Seductive.
And impossibly beautiful. 🌹
