The women of the UAE have come a long, long way...

From the women who quietly held their families together, to those who stepped into spaces that once seemed unimaginable, aviation, science, business, space and leadership.

What I love most is that progress doesn't always look the same.

Sometimes it is a woman flying a plane.
Sometimes it is a woman building a business.
Sometimes it is a mother raising children who will take the country even further.

And behind so many of these women are families who believed in them, people who opened doors, and women who came before them and made those doors possible.

Today, I feel grateful to have spent so many years of my life in the UAE and to have watched this journey unfold.

To every Emirati woman , those who came before, those building today, and the girls growing up dreaming about tomorrow.

There have been so many moments in my life when I didn't get to choose what happened.

I had to grow up early. I had to start over more than once. I've watched things I worked incredibly hard for change, disappear, and then slowly become something new.

For a long time, I thought being strong meant pushing through everything.

Now I think it's also about being careful with the story you tell yourself while you're going through it.

Some days, the facts are difficult.

Someone else seems miles ahead.
You feel like you've started all over again.
You wonder if you're too late.

Those things may all be true.

But there is always another way to look at them.

And I've learned that the reality I choose to focus on affects what I notice, what I believe is possible, and what I do next.

I'm choosing to believe there is still so much ahead of me.

And honestly, I think there is.
