‎We concluded the proceedings of the World Economic Forum "Davos 2026" by signing a number of comprehensive strategic partnerships and memoranda of understanding, within the framework of the UAE’s vision aimed at expanding the scope of international cooperation, to create a broad global momentum centered on humanity, and to empower governments and communities, in a way that contributes to shaping models capable of driving change and achieving positive impact amid the accelerating transformations our world is witnessing.

‎All thanks and appreciation to the working team and members of the UAE delegation for the sincere efforts they exerted, which contributed to the full success of this participation.

I was honoured to meet the two winners of the 2025 Great Arab Minds Award: architect Dr. Souad Al-Amiri, winner in the Architecture and Design category, and Professor Charbel Dagher, winner in the Literature and Arts category. Their achievements reflect the richness of Arab creativity and its ability to shape cultural, architectural, and intellectual landscapes on a global level.

The Great Arabian Minds Award embodies the ambitious vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to invest in Arab minds and to strengthen the role of knowledge, culture, arts, and design as fundamental pillars of sustainable development and future-building. Through this initiative, Dubai continues to support creators, thinkers, and innovators, advancing intellectual progress and empowering Arab talent to lead innovation and drive meaningful change.

I had a productive meeting with Krista Beckat, Director of the Department of Culture and Emergency Situations in the Cultural Sector at UNESCO, on the sidelines of the "ICOM Dubai 2025" events. Where we discussed the importance of protecting cultural heritage in times of crisis, the key role culture plays in promoting community cohesion and peacebuilding, as well as opportunities to foster collaboration to support the readiness of cultural institutions in the region to face future challenges and productive meeting with Krista Pikkat, UNESCO's Director for Culture and Emergencies, on the sidelines of ICOM Dubai 2025. We discussed the importance of safeguarding cultural heritage during crises and the vital role of culture in
strengthening social cohesion and building peace. We also explored ways to enhance cooperation to support the readiness of cultural institutions in the region to address future challenges and rapid change.

renowned Ghanaian sculptor El Anatsui, one of Africa's and the world's leading contemporary artists, on the sidelines of the 27th General Conference of the International Council of Museums (ICOM Dubai 2025).We discussed the role of art as a cultural bridge that unites values and emotions, offering humanity a shared language that transcends geography and cultural differences, strengthening the bonds of connection and dialogue across the world.
