In the middle of sirens and smoke rising over the places we call home, I paused today and really looked around.

Dubai has always been more than lights, towers, and fast cars—it's the promise we all bought into: that no matter where you're from, you can build something unbreakable here. Today tests that promise hard. Explosions echoing, alerts buzzing, uncertainty in the air... but look at us still standing. Still checking on neighbors, still sharing water, still holding space for each other.

To every soul in this city right now—Emirati, expat, visitor, worker who's far from family—you're not alone in this. Your courage in staying calm, in helping one another, in refusing to let fear win... that's the real Dubai magic no missile can touch.

I'm grateful for every sunrise we've seen together, for the dreams we've chased under these same skies, and for the strength we find in each other when the world tries to shake us. We rise. We rebuild. We protect what's ours.

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much my son Rashid and I miss you. Every day, we find ourselves reminiscing about all the good times we shared. He often asks when he’ll see you again, and I can’t help but smile at how much he cares. You’ve left such a special mark in both of our hearts.💕
