Savage Åse
For skin that needs support, not trends. Small batch formulas - No fluff. Created by a Certified Skincare Formulator - not a factory.

Savage Åse was never created because skincare was trendy.
It started because I became obsessive about ingredients, labels and what we’re actually exposing our bodies to.
Nursing taught me a lot about the body.
Motherhood taught me even more.
And my daughter’s Type 1 diabetes diagnosis completely changed the way I looked at products, ingredients and health as a whole.
I started reading labels differently.
Questioning marketing differently.
Looking deeper into not only what we put on our skin, but what we put inside our bodies too, because both ultimately affect the outside. Both affect our skin. Both affect how we feel.
Somewhere between formulation studies, ingredient deep dives, failed batches, late nights and rebuilding myself, Savage Åse slowly came to life.
Not as “perfect beauty.”
Not trend-driven skincare.
But as something intentional.
Thoughtfully formulated.
Honest about what’s inside it.
And now somehow; this little idea that lived in my head for so long is slowly becoming real.
The labels are being printed.
The products are almost ready.
The website is slowly coming together.
Which honestly feels equal parts exciting, surreal and slightly terrifying.
But we’re getting closer. 🖤

A little behind the scenes update because I feel like I haven’t really spoken much about where Savage Åse is actually at lately.
Yesterday my ingredient + directions cards arrived and honestly it was one of those moments where it suddenly starts to feel a bit more real seeing physical pieces of the brand sitting there in front of me.
My labels are currently in the making and getting prepared for print at the moment, and the website is, well; slowly coming together 😂
Shopify has definitely humbled me more than once through this whole process.
There’s honestly been so much behind the scenes getting to this point. Designing, reformulating, printing, websites, packaging, changing my mind 47 times, trying to make everything feel right and still true to me and the brand.
But slowly it’s all starting to come together piece by piece.
I’m taking my time with Savage Åse because I don’t want to rush it just for the sake of launching quickly. I want it to feel intentional, aligned, transparent and genuinely like something I’m proud to put my name behind.
Anyway, little milestone moment today 🤎

Happy Mother's Day.
To the ones who went looking for answers when the answers weren't good enough.
Who read every label, questioned every claim, and stopped accepting "it's fine" when their instincts said otherwise.
Who built something; or changed something; because their child needed more than what was available.
Savage Åse exists because of a mother's instinct.
Mine.
When my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, something shifted in me permanently.
The version of me that took things on faith quietly stepped aside.
I stopped accepting what I was handed and started educating myself, properly. Obsessively. The way mothers do when something matters enough.
I read. I researched. I questioned everything I thought I knew.
And when I realised that the skincare industry was built on the same kind of confident claims I'd stopped believing everywhere else — I went deeper.
I studied formulation. I learned what ingredients actually do versus what they're marketed to do. I learned what compromised skin actually needs versus what it's sold.
And I built something from that place.
Not from a trend. Not from a gap in the market.
From not being willing to accept less than the truth.
This brand is named for my daughter — Åse, which means goddess — because she carries something heavy every single day and never gives in. She is Savage Åse.
That's the energy this brand was built on.
Happy Mother's Day to every woman who refused to stop at the first answer.

Meet Barely Tamed.
A rich botanical face oil; and yes, she's supposed to look like that.
That deep colour comes from what's actually inside.
Seabuckthorn CO₂. Rosehip CO₂. Turmeric CO₂. Tamanu. Tomato seed. Pumpkin seed. Quandong infused jojoba. Cucumber seed. Olive squalane. And a blend of carrot seed, sandalwood, and helichrysum essential oils.
No fillers. No fragrance masking cheap base oils. No pale, odourless formula that looks clean because there's nothing real in it.
This is what happens when every ingredient earns its place.
Earthy. Rich. Intentional.
Barely Tamed is almost here.

I didn’t build this to follow the industry.
I built it because I saw what real skin goes through;
and how little support it actually gets.
Too much noise.
Not enough intention.
Savage Åse is about stripping it back to what matters:
formulation with purpose, not filler.
This is just the beginning.
Savage Åse.

Built in silence.
Raw form.
Black glass.
Almost ready.
Savage Åse.

It’s Åse.
(Aww-sah)
Not ace. Not ay-see.
Now you know 😉💋
Different. Intentional.
Just like everything behind it.
The meaning behind it… we’ll get to that.

🖤
Skincare isn’t about cramming in more ingredients.
It’s about purpose.
Every ingredient in a formula should earn its place;
whether that’s supporting your skin,
or making the product stable, safe, and usable.
Because a product that isn’t properly formulated
doesn’t just “not work”…
it can compromise your skin.
I don’t formulate for trends.
I formulate with intention.

Two sides.
One identity.
Savage Åse has evolved; not to become something new, but to reflect what’s always been there.
Strength and softness.
Edge and restraint.
Raw beauty. Savage spirit.
