A little more about the girl behind Beauty by Susma 🤍

If you’re new here, hi! 👋🏼 And if you’ve been here for a while, you might learn a few things you didn’t know about me. 😂

I’m a makeup artist, hairstylist, mum, business owner, big-time foodie and someone who loves coffee, cooking, nature and a good brunch.

I used to be a total extrovert, but motherhood definitely changed me. These days I’m a little bit of both — I love good company, but I’m equally happy disappearing for some quiet time with my phone nowhere in sight. 😂

I’m not much of a gossip girl though I can listen to your gossip without any judgement and opinions 😁 , not really a night-out person anymore, and yes… I’m the weird one who drives with no music on. 🚗😂

Behind the beauty business, there’s just me — figuring it all out, building something I love, raising my two little humans and trying to enjoy the little things along the way.

A little heart-to-heart before you sit in my chair 🤍

I love inspo photos — they’re actually one of my favourite parts of creating your look. But I always want to use them as inspiration, not as a copy-and-paste template.

Every face, skin type, hair type, features and personal style is different. My job is to take what you love about your inspo and tailor it to you so you still look like yourself, just a little more polished, enhanced and ✨YOU✨.

And yes… I wish I could magically give you the hair from an AI photo or make you look exactly like your filtered selfie 😂 But sometimes there are limits to what makeup and hair can do, especially when it comes to hair density, extensions, filters and unrealistic expectations.

Your prep matters too! 🤍 The better the canvas, the better I can work my magic.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable telling me what you like, what you don’t like or if you want something changed. I genuinely don’t take it personally. It’s your face, your hair and your day — not mine.

I care a lot about how you look AND how you feel when you leave my chair.

✨ A little business update ✨

I’m so excited to share that Beauty by Susma is now based in my home studio in Aberfoyle Park. 🤍

As my business continues to evolve, I’ve also made a small change to how I take bookings. From now on, I’ll be accepting new bookings up to 8 months in advance.

My home studio allows me to offer greater flexibility and more appointment availability, while I will continue to provide mobile services for weddings and group bookings.

All existing bookings will, of course, be honoured as planned.

Whether you’re getting married, attending a special event, celebrating a milestone, graduating, or getting ready for a photoshoot, I’d love to be part of your special day.

If you’re someone who books closer to the date—or you’re looking for a last-minute hair and makeup artist—there’s a good chance I’ll have availability for you.
