1️⃣ No proper consultation: This is a given - and yet most artists skip straight to the brush. Our job is to gather as much data as possible before we even touch a client‘s face.
👉🏼 Ask about allergies, what they always do on themselves they’d feel naked without, ask what "looking like themselves“ actually means to them. That information is your foundation.

2️⃣ Not listening to your client: A beautiful makeup look starts way before the actual application. Put your own preferences aside, be empathetic. Read between the lines - most clients can’t articulate what they want - that’s not their job, it’s yours. That’s exactly where your expertise and experience step in.
