Over the years, I have met and worked with alot of multicultural women, sharing stories of their past abuse.

Unfortunately in many homes and relationships, abuse and coercive behaviour still exist. It can be very difficult for someone living in these conditions to finally break free.
Especially where their livelihood, access to their children or visa status is at risk.

Please don't judge the woman, for what has happened.
Be available to assist and support the woman, and her children, if any, to safely seek specialist support, and to receive help for the situation, where possible.
Women / immigrant women may already feel embarrassed and fearful to speak about it.
Your eyes and your heart, can see it. So be gentle when you prompt your questions to take supportive safe action.

With lived childhood and relationship experience.
I worked extensively to personally break the cycle with professional support and working past 38 years with professional experience.

I now to support women to recover from the relationship traumas , past and present.
Spirit , intergenerational, Mind trauma looping thoughts Emotions that keep the vibrations low and the Body keeps score, cellular memory, that can be living the trauma long after the event.

Living through it, beyond it, and being completely free from the unhealthy feelings thoughts and toxic relationships, is a process of HEALING . A Delicate process of rebuilding your inner self, reclaiming your identity and learning to unconditionally love yourself and Forgiveness.

Many migrant women don't realise they may still have legal rights and visa options, even when their visa is linked to their partner.

This ABC News article highlights concerns that migrant women experiencing domestic and family violence may be asked to prove their relationship was "genuine" before their experience of violence is considered. For many women on temporary visas, the person causing harm may also be their visa sponsor.

What communities need to know:

🔹 Coercive control can include threats about visa status, controlling money, withholding documents, and isolation from family and support networks.

🔹 A lack of joint bank accounts, bills or leases does not mean a relationship was not genuine. Women experiencing coercive control may never have had access to these documents.

🔹Women experiencing domestic and family violence may still have legal rights, protections and visa pathways available to them.
