I was in the thick of it.
Running from the truth, numbing the pain, doing everything I could to avoid facing the man in the mirror.

But I see him now.
I honour him.
Because that version of me was fighting silent battles no one could see.
He didn’t have the tools, the community, or the clarity I have now.
But he had the heart. And he never stopped searching.

If I could say one thing to him it would be this:
“You’re not broken. You’re just awakening. Keep going.”
