A little about me: My memory fails me more often than I’d like, and I want my wonderful clients to know this upfront.
I take great pride in building therapeutic, meaningful connections with everyone I work with. I ask questions because I’m genuinely interested, and sometimes I deep dive because I want this to be a safe, judgment-free space—somewhere you can take a moment to tackle the battles of the day, week, or month. In those moments, I truly care, and I love seeing you.
But then… you come back, and I might ask, “Have we done tans together before?” or repeat a question from our last conversation. I might forget to check in on something we talked about previously. Please know—it’s never because I don’t value you. It’s never because I don’t care. And every time I realize I’ve done it, it weighs on me.
But I also have to remind myself: my memory struggles in these moments, and that’s okay. What matters most is that every time we connect, I am fully present, invested, and grateful for you. Every person I meet leaves an impact on me, even if I need a little reminder.
