A silk or satin pillow case will be the best thing for you braids to last longer. Reason for silk or satin is that’s materials like cotton and other rough fabrics are damaging on your hair and will contribute to your braids ending up frizzy and fluffy just after a few nights.

If you constantly toss and turn in your sleep the little hairs in your braids will create friction and come out of the braids.

Silk or satin and help to lock in moisture and your hair is more likely to slide rather than catch and tug while you sleep at night.
