Trying a different technique, changing the colours, playing with placement or approaching a design in a completely new way can feel uncomfortable at first… but sometimes you discover something that works even better than what you were used to! 🙌✨

Not every experiment will be perfect, and that’s okay. That’s how we learn, grow and find our own style. 🌈

So here’s to trying, experimenting, making mistakes, and discovering new possibilities along the way. 💕🎨

Why doesn’t professional face painting cost the same everywhere? 🎨✨

It’s a question I get asked quite often.

When you book a professional face painter, you’re not simply paying for the time spent painting faces on the day.

You’re investing in years of experience, creativity, artistic skill, speed, professionalism and preparation.

Before every event, I spend hours researching themes, designing customised menus, creating stencils, preparing my kit and planning how to make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Every booking is personalised because I want every child (and every client) to have something special.

On the day, it’s about much more than creating beautiful artwork. It’s managing queues efficiently, engaging with children, maintaining high hygiene standards, using premium cosmetic-grade products and delivering a fun, memorable experience from start to finish.

I also value my time away from my family. Running a small business involves much more than the event itself—there’s travel, setup, pack down, administration, insurance, equipment maintenance, marketing and ongoing training behind the scenes.

Could you find someone cheaper? Absolutely.

But value isn’t measured by price alone.

When you choose a professional artist, you’re choosing reliability, quality, consistency and someone who genuinely cares about making your event unforgettable.

My advice when comparing face painters is not to look at price alone. Compare the quality of their work, experience, professionalism, what is included in their packages, their reviews and the overall experience they provide.

At the end of the day, every artist sets their prices based on the value they bring. There will always be someone cheaper, and there will always be someone more expensive.

I choose to focus on creating an experience that’s worth every dollar and leaves lasting memories long after the face paint comes off. ❤️
