She is in her second year of a Law/PPE degree, and is the 2017 Gen rep of the URC!

Josie is in her third year of studying a double degree in Law and Development studies at ANU. Originally from Adelaide, Josie is leaving Ursies after two and a half years to go on a semester exchange to Utrecht University, The Netherlands.

"Ursies is like a family to me, I like spending time with my friends here. People are friendly and there are lots of fun activities. I will miss Ursies!" - Qi Jing studies a bachelor of political science and is majoring in politics and philosophy.

"PSA: There is no chicken for International Dinner. I repeat, a CHICKEN-FREE DINNER!" - Angela Loo, URC International Rep, speaking about the international dinner this Thursday.

International dinner is a time when we come together to celebrate our diverse community and bid farewell to some of our beloved ressies whom are leaving us next semester.

"I've always wanted to come to Australia. When I was 8, I had an Australian themed birthday party and one of my Dad's coworkers was Australian, so she brought Vegemite. I tried it and I hated it. Now I've tried it again, I still hate it - but I love Australia."

Studying a Bachelor in Geoscience and Bachelor in Astronomy from Williams College (Williamstown, Massachussets, America), Tim is in the end of his third year and the end of his semester on exchange at Ursula Hall.

"Playing basketball for Ursies has been the highlight of my time here. Yes, we might not be the best on the court but Ursies is definitely the most inclusive hall on Daley Road."- Bingze Xu is a Bachelor of Business Administration student on exchange from City University of Hong Kong.

"Thank you ursies for adopting me temporarily, this place has for sure been like a second home & you guys were a huge part of what made my exchange so super. Even though you guys polluted my vocabulary with Aussie words, I'll miss you bogans heaps. Come visit me in Manchester / Birmingham xoxo"
Olivia is on a semester exchange from the University of Manchester.

"I'm just going to miss Australia in general. And Ursies, it's just such a homey place. The dorms back home have like six people sharing a room, but they don't talk to each other. But here, you go to the dining hall and just have a mate to talk to. It's nice."

Kim (an avid GWS supporter) is a fourth year student from Seoul National University, South Korea, and is studying a double major in Economics and Philosophy.

"I know I might be too shy for Hall life, but I will miss everyone wearing Ursies green." - Rong Nie. Rong is an international student living on A2 and she is moving out of Ursies at the end of the semester.

‘It hasn’t hit me that I’m going on exchange, let alone leaving Ursies. I’ve always thought of it happening in some abstract future, but it turns out that future is too close for my liking.’ - Stephanie Gajewski, is in her 3rd year of an arts/ European studies degree. She's going on exchange to the University of Exeter. We will miss you Steph!

"I'm probably going to have to steal a couple of packs of Vegemite from the dining hall and make my friends back home try the acquired Australian taste."

Larry is an exchange student from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and is in his third year of a Bachelor of Science, Major in Mathematics. Unfortunately Larry is coming up to the end of his one semester stay on exchange with us here at Ursies. Sad reacts only.
