Combination brows done with modern techniques should never look heavy or obvious ✨

When done correctly, the pigment sits softly within the skin… not stamped on top of it.

This is where technique really matters.

We use a mix of soft shading and fine strokes to build texture gradually, allowing the brow to look diffused, airy, and natural 🤍

Older methods often relied on heavier pressure, deeper implantation, and more solid blocks of pigment (commonly known as "Angry Bird", "Sharpie" or "Slug" brows). Note, we do not do these styles even if our clients beg.

That’s where we see long term issues like discolouration, migration, and unnatural shapes.

Modern techniques are lighter, more controlled, and far more skin-conscious 🌿 This means better healing, softer results, and brows that continue to look good over time ⏳

Fresh brows are not the final result 😅

When you leave your appointment, they can feel a little irritated, dark, and heavier than expected.
For a moment it can feel like… “oh wow, what have I done?”

This is normal 🤍

Here’s what typically happens next:

• Days 1–3
Brows go darker and can feel a little tight or out of shape as the skin heals

• Days 4–10
They start to lighten... a lot 😜
Some clients will experience light flaking around day 10 (but not everyone does)...

• Weeks 2–4
The “disappearing stage”
Brows can look very light or patchy

• Weeks 6–8
Some of the colour comes back softly as the skin fully heals - and then it's time for touchup! ✨

I prepare all of my clients for this, because it is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, and it's vital to trust the process 🎢

How your brows heal depends on your skin, metabolism, technique, and aftercare... and, in some cases, your previous work.

Another brow correction — and a reminder that even very tricky work can often be softened beautifully ✨

The before image shows brows that had been tattooed elsewhere and no longer sat well on the face. The colour had shifted and the shape felt too thin and arched, which can age you. This can be incredibly frustrating for clients who were originally hoping for something natural 🤍

Correction work is never about rushing or covering everything in one pass. It requires careful assessment, conservative pigment choices and a clear plan for how the brows will age over time. Sometimes that means doing less, not more 🧠🎨

The after photo shows the result of a thoughtful correction — restoring balance, improving symmetry and bringing the brows back into harmony with the client’s features. It is a bit heavy as it has just been done, but will heal to be very natural looking 🌿

If you’re living with brows you regret, know that options do exist. Correction is a process, and with the right approach, even “botched” brows can often be improved in a way that feels natural ✨

This is the stage most people don’t get to see enough of — when everything has calmed down and the brows have blended beautifully into the skin.

No shine, no redness, no intensity… just a soft, natural finish that quietly enhances the face.
