Amy came into RenJi ready to release some old energy and step into a new era.

As we cut her hair, we got the news that her purchase of a new home had come through.

A literal release, making space for what was next.

There was something pretty special about watching a new chapter unfold right there in the chair. New hair, new home, new beginnings.

Sometimes the timing of life is just a little bit magical.

We’ve welcomed some new Keune Haircosmetics styling products into the salon, ready to help create those finished looks we love. From soft texture and movement to shine, hold and everything in between.

We’re always looking for products that complement the way we work and help you get the most from your hair, both in the salon and at home.

We truly believe that your appointment should be about more than leaving with hair you love. Obviously that is super important but we think the conversation while the colour develops is just as.

Meet Izzy.

Izzy is currently training through Trade College and spends Saturdays with us at RenJi as our Tea & Tidy Salon Assistant while completing her work experience.

She’s learning the foundations, getting comfortable in the salon and having a play with her creativity along the way.

These curls are one of her recent head block pieces and we think she’s done such a beautiful job.

She’s also got a seriously good head massage already, something the team is more than happy to volunteer for.

We love being able to give the next generation of stylists a calm, supportive space to learn, practise and build confidence.

We’re excited to watch Izzy grow.

There’s something about a fresh blonde with a little movement through the hair. It’s effortless, light and ready to catch the sunshine.

Behind RenJi is a woman who wears a lot of hats.

Hairdresser. Business owner. Mum. Wife. And just Renee, somewhere in the middle of it all.

Some days I feel like I’m absolutely nailing it. Other days I’m juggling a hundred things at once and wondering how everyone else seems to have it figured out.

Building a business while raising a family and trying to have a life of your own is a constant work in progress. It’s messy, rewarding, exhausting and really bloody special all at once.

RenJi is something I’ve built with a lot of heart. It’s grown and changed alongside me, and I’m learning to give myself permission to grow with it too.
