If you had told me a couple of years ago where this journey would take me, I’m not sure I would have believed you.
I’m a woman from remote Australia who decided that where you live, what you’ve been through, and how many times life has knocked you down should never determine how brightly you are allowed to shine.
I started Outback Sparkle with a dream — to use beauty, makeup and my own story to help women rediscover their confidence and realise their worth.
That little dream has grown into something I could never have imagined. From working in makeup for TV and film, to speaking and advocating for women, domestic violence and mental health, to representing rural and remote voices on bigger stages — every step has reminded me why I started.
There have been tears. There have been moments I wanted to give up. There have been days when simply getting up was an achievement.
But I kept going.
So this photo isn't about pretending life is perfect.
It represents the woman who kept going when life wasn't.
To every woman looking at her life and wondering, “Is it too late for me?”
No.
Your story isn't finished.
Your past doesn't get to write your future.
And where you start doesn't determine where you can go.
Dream big. Take the chance. Back yourself. And never let being remote make you believe you have to dream small.

Some days, you look perfectly fine on the outside… while inside, your body is fighting a battle that nobody else can see.

Living with fibromyalgia can mean waking up exhausted even after a full night’s sleep. It can mean pain that moves around your body, aching muscles, brain fog, headaches, sensitivity, and days where simply getting through the basics feels like climbing a mountain.

The hardest part can be trying to explain something that doesn't always show on the outside.

You might cancel plans. You might need to rest. You might have a good day and then be completely wiped out the next. And none of that means you're lazy, unreliable, or not trying.

It means your body is asking for something different.

💜 To anyone suffering with fibromyalgia — I see you.

You don't have to prove you're in pain to deserve compassion.

You don't have to apologise for resting.

And you don't have to feel guilty because your body has limits.

Some days we fight. Some days we rest.
Both are okay.

Invisible illness is still illness. Invisible pain is still pain. And you are still worthy of understanding, kindness and love. 💜
