A year ago today, I took a leap of faith and officially registered LumeSkin Aesthetics as a business 🤍

At the time, I don’t think I fully understood just how much hard work, love, dedication and courage would go into building something of my own, but I can honestly say it has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.

LumeSkin has given me so much more than a job. It has given me the freedom to build my work around my life. To spend more time with my girls and my partner, take holidays, be present for the important moments and have the flexibility to choose my own hours. That freedom is something I’ll never take for granted.

This past year has also given me a whole new appreciation for small business owners. When you run a small business, you quickly realise just how many hats one person can wear - therapist, receptionist, cleaner, marketer, content creator, bookkeeper, stock manager and everything in between. There is so much happening behind the scenes just to keep a little business alive, growing and moving forward.

And while there have definitely been long days, learning curves, nerves and moments of wondering what on earth I was doing, there has also been so much pride, excitement and genuine love for what I’ve created.

I absolutely love LumeSkin. I love walking into my little clinic, I love what I get to do every day, and most of all, I love the beautiful clients who have trusted me with their skin, supported my business, recommended me to friends, rebooked, shared my posts and cheered me on along the way.

Every single person who has walked through my door has played a part in making LumeSkin what it is today, and I am more grateful than I could ever properly put into words.
