Pigmentation isn't one-size-fits-all 🩵

Not all dark spots are the same, treating the wrong type is often why your pigmentation isn't budging

✨ Melasma: hormonal, symmetrical patches, needs a gentle & consistent approach

☀️ Sun damage: UV-triggered spots that respond really well to targeted treatment

💢 Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation: post-breakout marks that fade over time, but can be helped along

The right treatment starts with the right diagnosis 🔍 Book a skin consult and we'll map out the right plan for your skin.

Menopause & Skin

🌸 Menopause & Your Skin: What Changes?
Menopause is more than a hormonal transition — it can have a noticeable impact on your skin, too.

As oestrogen levels decline, you may experience changes such as:
• Increased dryness and sensitivity
• Loss of firmness and elasticity
• Thinner, more fragile skin
• Changes in collagen and hydration
• A slower skin-repair process

The good news? Understanding what’s happening to your skin is the first step towards supporting it through this stage of life. 🤍

Swipe through our carousel to learn why menopause changes your skin and what you can do to support skin health.

✨ Because ageing is natural — and your skincare can evolve with you.

🧬 Collagen in your skincare ≠ collagen being added back into your skin.
Here’s the part that skincare marketing doesn’t always make clear…

The collagen naturally found in our skin is a large structural protein that gives skin its strength, firmness and support. Topical collagen molecules are generally too large to pe*****te the skin deeply enough to replace or rebuild the collagen already in the dermis.

So does collagen in skincare do nothing? Not at all. 👇

✨ Topical collagen can be a great humectant, helping attract and hold water at the skin’s surface. This can leave skin feeling softer, smoother and more hydrated, and temporarily improve the appearance of fine lines caused by dehydration.

But if your goal is to support your skin’s own collagen production, look beyond a product simply saying “contains collagen.”

💡 The takeaway: Collagen in a cream can help with hydration — but it isn’t the same as putting collagen back into your dermis.

Don’t be fooled by the label. Understand what the ingredient can actually do. 🤍

INGREDIENT OF THE WEEK: TRETINOIN ✨
One of the most researched skincare ingredients, tretinoin is a prescription retinoid that works by increasing skin cell turnover and supporting collagen production. 🧬

So, what can it help with?
✨ Fine lines & wrinkles
✨ Uneven skin texture
✨ Acne & breakouts
✨ Post-acne marks & pigmentation
✨ Overall skin renewal

But tretinoin isn’t a “more is more” ingredient. It can take time for your skin to adjust, and using it correctly is key to minimising dryness and irritation.

In this week’s video, we’re breaking down how tretinoin works, what it can help with, and why consistency is key. 🤍
