You are always worth what you charge, probably and some! 🤍
Upping our prices as beauty service providers will always be nerve wracking and something we put off doing or talk ourselves out of. Purely because of the usual reaction that comes with it, the reaction that convinces us that we are not worth it.
There will be times where we get questioned and when we do, it’s important to look back on what got us here in the first place.
This isn’t just a hobby, we don’t pocket the $2000 we make and go on a shopping spree, we pay tax, super, the maintenance of our car that we use to get to locations, fuel, phones, stock up on $500 worth of disposables every few weeks, replenish $1000 of makeup every month that is a NEED not a WANT, rent, food, hours of admin…
It’s genuinely interesting and sometimes frustrating that our job feels like one of the only ones where we need to justify and advocate why we charge what we do 🥲
