🚨WARNING! SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS PLEASE BE AWARE - SCAM TARGETING SMALL BUSINESSES🚨

I got a call today from a man (Liam) he said his name was, claiming he was from SES and he was reaching out to small businesses of Victoria to help raise funds to help pay SES volunteers and asking for a donation - his claim was the organisation will promote small businesses to show appreciation to businesses who sign up to “fundraiser” event - essentially an affiliated sponsorship with a once of payment to secure (also claims it’s a tax write-off so it sounded even more legit.) He discussed with me tier prices that are hundreds - thousands of dollars. Allocated tier cost results in how much advertisement your business will receive. He mentioned businesses associated would be printed and acknowledged in a published SES “Year Book.” I was very thorough with the questions and he had an answer for everything - it seemed very legitimate, but something didn’t feel right. I researched the phone number he rang me on and it is flagged for multiple scams! (Others explaining their experience identical to mine.)

I understand SES is a huge part of the local community and I acknowledge and respect the hard work that they dedicate to helping others, especially with fires etc. continuously occur in the area and it pulls on the heart strings of the entire region - the impression given was that participating businesses would connect with the SES as a whole, and establish a sponsorship network amongst everyone involved (businesses would get exposure to community with recognition and marketing with affiliation) whilst also helping to pay volunteer SES members. The entire conversation was very convincing and I’m so glad I didn’t agree to anything. Please take this as a warning to be aware - if someone does call, do your research and never give out personal information especially involving financial details.

Please be careful and I hope this helps other businesses avoid potentially becoming a victim of scammers.

🤔 Did you know that heaters can impact retention? 🤔
How to fix this 👇🏼
As we come into the cooler months, heaters are used frequently which means we are exposed to dryer airflow and extension adhesive relies on a certain amount of humidity to cure affectively and efficiently. I monitor my temperature and humidity during application (19-23 temp & 45-60% humidity.) Within the first 48 hours of application environmental factors influence curing process including heaters which draw moisture out of the extension glue bonds causing them to dry and become fragile and break which leads to retention issues. To help this I suggest a humidifier in your house or put a bowl of water near your heater to help maintain consistent humidity to ensure extensions cure properly. Try to avoid heaters blowing on your face in the car. Cold snaps can also cause curing to be slower which means it’s important to be more mindful of these factors as they strongly impact retention. We all love long hot showers to stay warm but the constant steam can also be an issue. The inconsistent temperature changes do have an impact. Always here to help clients understand lash science and get the most out of their lashes. Eyelash extension adhesive isn’t air drying like most people think, ingredient in the glue is activated by moisture and relies on a chemical reaction called polymerisation which requires certain components for the molecules to link together and form a bond and fully cure. Changing in seasons also change the natural lash cycle.

Hey everyone! I know sometimes it can be a bit confusing or even overwhelming at times to estimate nearest week applicable, and trying to select accurately when booking infill appointments. I’m thinking of allocating brackets including duration of set number of days, which would help make things easier to understand and set a simplified & specified guideline? I know it may sound strict and I’m not implementing this to be strict, I’m wanting to improve the process and wondering if this may help everyone navigate the system? My perspective is that a structured approach would benefit everyone in regards to this system.

1 week (within 7 days)
2 weeks (within 14 days)
3 weeks (within 21 days)
4 weeks (within 28 days)
5 weeks (within 35 days)
