After a lot of thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to close Beauty Bar by Jos.

This is not a decision I have made lightly. I have gone back and forth on it many times, spending countless hours discussing it with my boyfriend and family. There has been uncertainty, and a lot of soul-searching along the way. Ultimately, I have come to realise that this chapter of my life has reached its natural ending, and I need to do what is best for my little family and for the future I want to build.

Beauty Bar by Jos is, without a doubt, my proudest achievement. I started this business completely on my own with a dream, a lot of determination, and the hope that people would trust me with their treatments. Over time, it grew into my sole source of income and something I poured my heart and soul into every single day.

The truth is, this business has become bigger than I ever could have imagined. What started as a small dream grew into a thriving business filled with loyal, returning clients who trusted me time and time again. While I am incredibly grateful for that success, it has also reached a point where I can no longer give everything the attention it deserves. I cannot continue to manage the volume of repeat clients, the behind-the-scenes responsibilities that come with running a business, my studies, my new role, and still show up as the partner, step-mother, and family member I want to be. Something had to give, and after a lot of reflection, I knew this was the right decision.

This business has been so much more than lashes and brows to me. It has been a place where I have met some incredible people, built genuine friendships, shared laughs, celebrated milestones, and had the privilege of being part of so many of your lives. For that, I will be forever grateful.

Many of you know that mental health and su***de prevention are causes that are deeply personal to me. I have recently been given an opportunity to work alongside a social worker and counsellor who is doing important work to help bridge the gap in mental health support. As I prepare to begin my Certificate IV in Youth Work and continue pursuing a future in social work, I have decided that now is the right time to follow this path.

For clients who currently have appointments booked, please don’t worry — all pre-booked appointments will still go ahead as planned. I will be reaching out to those clients individually over the coming days to discuss arrangements moving forward.

To every client who has trusted me, supported me, referred their friends and family, shared my posts, and helped my small business grow, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has meant more than you will ever know.
