Have been a bit slow on the post front since it's finally cool enough to get the garden back in order! 🌿

Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale)
Sometimes known as " Knit Bone ", it gets its name from its powerful healing ability.
Traditionally used to aid in the acceleration of healing, its also a great herb beneficial to all skin types, supporting to moisturise and soothe dry, irritated skin & aiding in overall skin health.

* Although sometimes called Knit Bone - please see a Doctor for broken bones & injuries!

Known to have a high allantoin & rosmarinc acid content, it's fast ability to heal is one reason why it should not be applied to broken skin/open wounds, it may heal outside faster than inside which could result in infection, aswell as containing pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which can be toxic if introduced internally.
