Shannon and Jess share a rare kind of friendship.
They are ten years apart in age, live in different states, and can sometimes go months without speaking on the phone. But the bond between them has never faded.
The women supported each other through one of the most difficult periods of their lives as they underwent cancer treatment together.
Shannon was in her early 30s when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2015. During treatment, she was also diagnosed with melanoma.
With a family history of cancer, the diagnosis was not entirely unexpected for Shannon. But the reality of treatment was confronting: a year of intensive chemotherapy alongside ongoing surgeries and treatment for melanoma.

A single conversation gave Eliza the space to stop pretending she was OK. It helped her access the right support and marked the beginning of her journey towards rebuilding her life after one of its lowest points.
In 2022, Eliza was exhausted. For months, she had been trying to keep up with both her professional and personal life while doing her best to hide growing feelings of guilt and shame connected to past traumatic events.
“I felt so hopeless, numb and alone. I wasn’t sleeping, I was agitated, paranoid and had become a person I didn’t recognise,” said Eliza.

I’ve been using Rescue Remedy products since I was in highschool. My Mum used to buy them for me to help calm my mind at night, and now they’re still helping me in Motherhood. The Sleep Pastilles are my new favourite and I love taking them before bed, especially on the nights before I have to be up early to go into the office.
