Imagine if I gave up when my work looked like this… 😂

This year marks almost 9 years since I started doing lash lifts.

I started out charging $30 from my mum’s spare bedroom, and looking back at some of my work now… I really had no idea how much I still had to learn.

But I think that’s something we forget when we’re starting out.

You’re allowed to be a beginner.

You’re not supposed to take one course and suddenly produce the same work as someone who has been doing it for years.

My work didn’t get to where it is now overnight. It came from years of practising, getting things wrong, investing in education, trying new techniques and continuing to show up.

The starting point some of my students are at now genuinely passes where I was YEARS into my career, because the education and information available to them now is so different.

Almost 9 years later, I have my own salon, an incredible team of 5, I get to educate students around Australia and NZ, I have products that have sold out multiple times and lash lifting has become such a huge part of my life.

And it all started because I decided to take a lash lift course one Saturday hungover, in a room with about 20 other girls.

At the time, I had absolutely no idea how much that one decision would change my life.

So if you’re at the beginning and comparing your work to someone who is years ahead of you, don’t.

Keep learning. Keep practising. Keep pushing through the stage where nothing quite looks how you want it to yet.

You have no idea how good you could become if you just keep going 🤎

And you never know… that one training you’ve been thinking about could end up being one of the best decisions you ever make. 🤍

This October 14th, I’m bringing my Korean Glueless Lash Lift Training to Perth, with the lovely Perth Lash & Brow Specialist assisting me throughout the day.

Designed for artists at all skill levels who are ready to refine their technique, understand the WHY behind the Korean method and walk away feeling confident making educated decisions behind the bed. From consultations and shield selection to application, processing and creating consistent results.

Spots are intentionally limited to just 4 artists, giving you the time and space to ask questions, get hands-on correction and really nail the technique while you’re in the room with me.

Training will be held out of the beautiful space at PERTHS LEADING BROW & BEAUTY STUDIO 🤍

If you’ve been around since my diary manifestation journal days, you might remember one of the mantras I used to write and say over and over again:

“I present on stages around Australia and around the world.”

And this weekend… I got to stand on a stage all the way in New Zealand and present and demonstrate a Korean Lash Lift. 🥹

I still have the self-doubt. I still get imposter syndrome. I still have those thoughts of who am I to be doing this? Am I good enough? Do I actually deserve to be here?

But I’m learning that those thoughts don’t have to disappear before you do the scary s**t.

Sometimes you just have to do it with them in the background.

I had the absolute time of my life, met some of the most incredible women, and walked away feeling so grateful for where this little beauty career has taken me.

A very big holy-s**t-I’m-actually-living-the-life-I-used-to-write-about moment. 🥹

And I think younger Ness would be pretty proud 🤎

And just like that, it’s all done and dusted i’m leaving on SUCH a high. What an incredible experience 🤎

What’s day 2 without a bit of chaos & delirium?

We had no room left in our luggage for our stall set up so a last minute Kmart trip it was 😂 we did pull it off stay tuned for tomorrow besties 🤎

Day 1&2 in Wellington 🇳🇿

After a massive travel day and running on basically no sleep 😂 I got to spend the day training the lovely Shannon Maree Beauty upskilling her in Korean Lash Lifts.

We switched things up and got her experimenting with different shields, including a hybrid shield and round shield, rather than reaching for the same shield on every client and her results were INSANE 🔥
