My client has always been self-conscious about her stomach after her pregnancies and wanted something non-invasive with no downtime.

After pregnancy, the skin often loses elasticity because collagen and elastin fibres become stretched and weakened. Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate your body’s natural healing response. This boosts collagen production, improves skin texture, thickens the dermis, and helps the skin appear firmer and smoother over time.

My client still has some loose skin (which is completely normal and cannot be fully removed without surgery). But the improvement in texture, tightness, and overall skin quality has exceeded her expectations. She now feels more confident heading into beach season — and that is the true result 🤍

This is still a work in progress with a couple more sessions to go, and we can’t wait to see the final results!

I added more depth and intensity with the addition of some Bitter Chocolate to her usual mix.

Ever wondered what a lip blush looks like over the course of a week 🔝

🔸Day 1 to 3 is always going to be the boldest 💋

🔸Day 3 to 4 is usually when the peeling begins

🔸By day 6-7 is normally when the peeling comes to an end. You may still have tiny areas that need an additional day or two but no doubt you will be ready to enjoy your new lips

To kick off the week, heres a little insight into needling.

Micro-needling/skin-needling is a safe and effective treatment that uses needles to create micro injuries in the skin, thus stimulating the body’s natural healing process ie repair and rebuild.

Micro-needling increases the skins natural production of collagen. It also helps with acne scarring, stretch marks, fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, pigmentation and overall skin health.

It is also proven to treat hair loss conditions, such as androgenetic alopecia. The procedure promotes increased blood flow to the treated area and the release of growth factors that encourage hair regrowth.

It is a minimally invasive treatment, leaving you a little red but also allowing you to continue with your day to day activities.

Some fun facts:

- Micro-needling has been around since the 1950’s
- It is not used just for the face
- It can be used to promote eyebrow hair growth
- A serum is used for slip
- Redness starts subsiding within an hour and should disappear by the night or the next morning depending on when you have treatment
- Numbing can be provided upon request but most go without
- It promotes skin elasticity along with collagen
- Micro shedding is expected by day 2-3
- Collagen production starts to decrease in our mid 20s and early 30s
- We start losing 1% of our collagen per year after our mid 20’s
- By 40, collagen drops dramatically, leading to signs of aging such as wrinkles and skin sagging

May I add that this lovely lady is 60 years young 😮. Needling is truly the gift that keeps giving.

These are the results after 2 micro needling sessions 🙌

My client suffers from acne, scarring, uneven texture and enlarged pores.

Needling has helped reduce the size and appearance of her pores, by clearing some of that congestion and unclogging them.

It has helped with her active acne, allowing her skin to look calmer, less red and painful. When she does have break outs, they are less angry and her recovery time is faster than it was before her needling journey.
