Last shipped pipe for 2025
It’s been a year, not as many pipes completed as I would have hoped but life really has interrupted my flow. Bring on 2026

It’s been way too long in between posts. I’m still here, still making pipes, just not as active on social media.
This is a recently finished pipe. Pencil shank Gumnut. SOLD

Final pipe for 2024. Y’all might have noticed that my pipe production slowed right down over the past 24 months. Due to some life changes I needed to jump back into construction management. This by no means brings a conclusion to pipe making, it just means I need to balance my family priorities with work and pipes have become third in line.
With that being said I still find that pipes make up a huge part of my life and there is no way I’ll be giving it up. I hope that in 2025 I can find a better balance to still be able to keep bringing you some more iconic Gumnut pipes as well as some new ideas I have been working on slowly.
Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a wonderful new year. Happy holiday.

This year has been hectic to say the least. But finally I have a pipe to show for 2023. With a bit of luck I can’t get back into the swing of things in the workshop.
Storm blue potato sack.

Broken Pipe.
It is with tremendous sadness that I write this post. Not something I thought I would ever have to do. Many of you that follow me will have known, met, or watched Alex George. He was a gentleman of the pipe community and a .pillar of the early australian YTPC.
Without Alex I might never have started pipe making for others as he encouraged me to take a commission from him. I even think his pipe is the first post on my page. It was ugly but he loved it.
Thank you brother for all you did for me. I will miss you. I’m going right not to light up a pipe of your favourite BCA gifted to you from the Dagners.
Vale Alex George

This weekend the 11&12th Match 2023 I and many other artisans will be all hanging out in Bendigo talking rubbish in the best way possible as well as showing off our skills. If you are in the area and feel like meeting some wonderful individuals as well as their cool handcrafted wares you should definitely pop by.
This year I will bring some finished work to show off but mostly I’ll be focusing on the craft itself from classic shapes to crazy freehand blowfish. Be sure to pop past and say hello.

Merry Christmas to all my Pipe family all over the world. While I have been taking a short break it’s given me time to te hard my creative mind and contemplate the pipes I want to bring forward in 2023. I can’t wait for what’s to come. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday season.

The sax is finally finished. I have spent war too long on this pipe but it’s now finally finished and ready to head to its new home.

Contrast sanding, I both love it and hate it, can go from amazing to failure quickly.
