Due to personal circumstances I’ve been away from my home, soap workshop, garden, and my business for most of this year! I’m back now and grateful to the support of my friends along the way. Seeing it is the first day of Spring, I’ll start with a bit of Spring cleaning in my workshop!
I have a lot of ideas and so excited and happy to be working on them again 😊

The beautiful blue cornflower is amazing! It managed to survive the winter and months of neglect, and has been a cheerful presence in my otherwise bare and grey garden this winter.
The cornflower symbolizes hope, love, fertility, and freedom. In Greek mythology it is linked to the goddess Aphrodite and Chiron the healer.
Cornflowers are edible and it’s tea (added to Earl Grey tea) is said to be calming. Cornflowers have been used as a medicinal herb for it’s soothing and anti inflammatory properties.
I’m celebrating the end of winter and the rare Blue Supermoon with a relaxing salt bath scattered with dried blue cornflowers 🛁

The start of 2023 has been peaceful, gentle, abundant and hopeful for me. Wishing it will continue to be so for myself and everyone.
I’m looking forward to growing my business this year with the support of friends, family, community and universe.

I was very excited to have a go at a Christmas themed soap- Christmas pudding soap! Each of the Holly leaves are hand cut and it took ages to put everything together but I’m happy and proud of the final outcome😊
Interesting coincidence: I made the Holly leaves two nights ago, we went for a road trip yesterday and just pulled over the road side for a nature call 😅and just beside the road was a small Holly plant! Never noticed them growing at a roadside before. Well I helped myself to some leaves of the real thing.

Lavender harvest!
Feel so happy to be harvesting organically grown lavender from my garden ☺️. They smell amazing!

Thinking back to my original public library experiences in Auckland as a teenager, it was usually the craft section that I browsed! I remember borrowing origami and flower arrangement books..

From Golden Calendula flowers to dried golden Calendula flower petals! These gorgeous flowers amaze me with their abundance and golden shine! 😍
I’m grateful I can use these organically grown flowers from my garden in my products in the future ❤️

Sweet Lavender dreamzzz. This melt and pour soap is made with coconut and oatmeal base, lavender essential oil that gives it a calming smell, and a sprinkling of lavender flowers that doubles as a fragrant scrub.
