My lovely client Jess is a busy woman, so she wanted to be freshened up with some warm honey tones that suit her beautiful green eyes, without needing to be in the salon every 6 weeks.

I remembered a technique I learnt in a foiling class last year that creates a softer grow out and a much more low maintenance result.

Perfect for busy women who still want beautiful hair.

Funny how I can remember this and my landline number from childhood, yet I can’t remember my password from yesterday.

In ancient Greece, red hair was associated with warriors.
In the Renaissance, artists painted red haired women as muses and goddesses.
In parts of medieval Europe, it was misunderstood and even linked to superstition.

I personally think ..
it’s quietly rebellious.

For example, back in the day when I had my dreadlocks coloured intense red and decided to colour my eyebrows red too, probably wasn’t my best idea when going through immigration in certain countries.

After 38 years of working Saturdays… I’m officially retiring from them!

Last year, the Year of the Snake, was all about change and transformation, and I definitely felt that, especially losing Mum 🤍

This year is the Year of the Horse, symbolising freedom, strength and forward movement. And that feels right for me.

I’m excited for this next chapter, more energy in the salon, more creativity, and a little more life outside of it too.

Hi everyone,

Wildflower Hair will be closed from 23rd Jan, reopening Wednesday 11th.

The time has come for me to say goodbye and spend some time at our family home of 68 years. It’s a profound transition, like letting go of a part of your own history.

I guess this is another stage of grieving, both the place itself and everything that comes with it.

So thank you for your patience and continued support.

Loving the O&M Clean Liquids, they’re just so damn nice to work with. The shine, the condition… just beautiful.

Lately I’ve been pairing them with a personalised colour analysis approach. My gorgeous client here is a deep winter, so I created a formula just for her that complements her eyes and skin tone beautifully.
