Five years of waxing, facials, chats, laughs, tears, late nights, early mornings, crazy busy weeks, quiet weeks, new clients, long-term clients and so many of you becoming part of my little Kaikovae family.

And because 5 years feels like a BIG deal… I’ve been quietly planning something special for October. 👀

There are surprises.
There are gifts.
And yes… I may have gone slightly ott about the whole thing. 😂

October is going to be a month of celebrating Kaikovae, the business, and most importantly YOU — the people who have helped me get to five years. 🖤

The official birthday is 18 October…

…but the celebrations are starting from the very beginning of the month. 🎂✨

After yesterday’s little behind-the-scenes adventure, it’s back to reality… and I’m busy in the salon getting my gorgeous clients sorted. 😂

Waxing, appointments, restocking, cleaning, answering messages… you know, the glamorous side of owning a beauty business 🤣

There’s a LOT happening behind the scenes at Kaikovae at the moment, and I’m so excited for everything that’s coming.

But for today… it’s just me, my glasses, my Kaikovae shirt and getting it done. 🖤

There are a few things happening behind the scenes at Kaikovae at the moment that I’ve been keeping very quiet about…

And today was part of one of them. 🤭

Taking my little girl to church with her Poppy this morning 🥰

Random fun fact that I don’t think I’ve ever shared on here… I grew up going to church every single Sunday until I was about 14.

Sunday school, church, the whole thing. Every. Single. Week. 😂

So there’s something quite sweet about getting dressed up this morning and taking my own little girl along with her Poppy.

Funny the little things from your childhood that come back around when you have kids of your own. 🩷

Anyway… apparently leaving the house on a Sunday means I’ve even put makeup on. Who am I?! 🤣

Post-carnival recovery mode 😅 Still absolutely wrecked from yesterday but ticked a few things off the list around the house and now I'm horizontal, glasses on, doing absolutely nothing productive and loving it.

Soaking this up because from next week it's full steam ahead for a solid month straight 🙈 So if you catch me being extra lazy today... no you didn't 😂

Yellow nails, yellow eye shadow (don't mind me, just matching the house colours 😂), and zero clients on the books — just vibes and pom poms today.

September is apparently the month I decided to do ALL THE THINGS 😂

There is so much happening behind the scenes at Kaikovae at the moment.

SQT has officially arrived, I’ve got salon plans ticking away in the background, September is already busy… and I’ve got something happening next week that I am ridiculously excited about. 🤭

I can’t show you that part just yet, but I am VERY excited to finally share it when I can.

In the meantime, today it’s back to normal programming — clients, waxing, brows, skin and probably talking far too much as usual 🤣

I feel like this year Kaikovae has just gone from one exciting thing to the next and I’m absolutely loving where it’s heading. 🩷

Anyway… happy Wednesday! Let’s see what today brings 😂

Okay… so what the hell are spicules? 😂

Because I’ve been talking about SQT, showing you my face peeling off and telling you there are tiny little spicules involved… without actually explaining what they are.

So meet the sponge. 👋😂

SQT Bio-Microneedling uses microscopic spicules derived from freshwater sponge.

During the treatment, these tiny spicules are massaged into the skin by hand — so unlike traditional microneedling, there’s no needling device involved.

And the weirdest part? You can actually feel them afterwards.

For the first couple of days, whenever I touched my face it had this strange prickly feeling. Then came the dry, peeling stage you’ve all now seen in its full glory 🤣

The whole process is designed to support the skin’s natural renewal process — which is why I’ve been so excited to introduce SQT at Kaikovae.

I promised you some actual education amongst all the photos of my face falling off, so there’s lesson number one 😂
