There was a time I thought I had to choose.

Be a present mum… or build a business.
Dream big… or keep the salon as a hobby..
Look after everyone else… or back myself.

What I’ve learnt is that it doesn’t have to be one or the other.

You can chase your goals and still be the one doing school drop-offs.
You can build something meaningful in the hours between appointments, dinner and sports training.
You can grow slowly and still grow successfully.

Will it always be balanced? No.
Will it always be easy? Definitely not.

But if you’re a mum sitting on a dream, wondering if you’re allowed to go after it too…

This is your reminder that you don’t have to wait for the “perfect” time.

Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Take the next small step.

You don’t have to do it all perfectly.

You just have to keep showing up.

Real talk…

I had a workshop booked today and was actually looking forward to learning something new for the business.

Then life happened, hubby had to work and plans changed.

Running a small business around family life means sometimes you pivot… and sometimes you procrastinate instead. 🤣☕

So tell me… what are you procrastinating on today?

Some days we’re thriving.

Some days we’re just trying to keep tiny humans alive, remember school notes, drink our coffee while it’s still hot and make it through the day.

During my third pregnancy, I developed pigmentation that didn’t completely disappear once my daughter was born.

But the truth is, after she arrived, looking after myself fell to the bottom of the list.

Life was busy.
I was exhausted.
And my own needs kept getting pushed aside.

Years later, I decided to start again.

Not perfectly.
Just consistently.

Because healthy skin isn’t about doing everything right, all of the time.

It’s about small steps.
It’s about giving yourself permission to begin again.
It’s about progress, not perfection.

If you’ve been putting yourself last, this is your reminder that it’s never too late to start.
