Kayla is a Wellington based Qualified Makeup Artist providing artistry for any special occasion, including (but not limited to) bridal, balls, and glamour events. She has been working as a makeup artist for over 5 years, with experience on MAC and Bobbi Brown counters, as well as behind the scenes of local fashion shows and shoots. This also includes Special Effects/Halloween makeup, and photo-shoot/fashion show ready makeup. She is currently able to travel to you within the larger Wellington region, and throughout the lower North Island.
When people ask what kind of makeup artist I am…
While they might seem like total opposite vibes, learning both has made me a versatile makeup artist. I’ve had clients book me for glam or Sfx bookings because “if you can create those incredible Sfx looks you can create anything” and it’s true! My versatility has gained me more bookings and opportunities.
I’ve never been able to choose which one I enjoy more, and honestly I don’t think I ever will! Because this is what makes me stand out as an artist. Here’s your lil reminder that you don’t always have to fit into one box.
My signature stage look - ✨ GLITTER✨ I am known as the queen of glitter at comps now 🤣✨ safe to say I’ve learnt a thing or two about nailing glitter application.
