🐋 Meet Mani... or as he's now known on site... "Hermy!" 💙

Every now and then someone walks through the door and you just know they're going to be a great fit.

A few months ago, Mani was introduced to ORCA Recruitment by one of the crew from a valued client. After sitting down for a chat, it didn't take long for us to realise we had found another genuinely good bloke.

After spending his career in sales, Manni made the brave decision to step outside his comfort zone and chase something completely different. That's a big call, and it takes courage.

Like every new member of the Pod, Mani completed the full ORCA onboarding process before stepping onto site. Medicals, VOCs, compliance, internal inductions... and he even jumped into a couple of our ORCA training days to build his skills and confidence before heading out on his first swing.
Today, Manni is working his very first shutdown in the Pilbara for one of our valued clients.

The feedback coming back has been fantastic.
The best part? We caught up with him today and he told us, "My confidence is really starting to grow." Those are the words every employer loves to hear.
That's what ORCA is all about.

At it again 🙌 Another great day at the General’s yard with plenty happening.

Recently Brett from Diligent Industry Training Pty Ltd joined us to complete a number of VOCs, while Lloyd Bucci was busy running a parallel internal training session with the crew.

It’s always good to get a mix of newer team members and experienced hands together. The knowledge sharing that happens on days like these is invaluable and it’s great to see people building confidence and developing their skills.

We were also joined by ASSSA who spent the day auditing our safety systems and processes. We’re proud of the culture we’re building at ORCA Recruitment (Australia) and welcome opportunities to have our systems reviewed as we continue to improve and grow.

A big thanks to Brett, the ASSSA team, General Crane Services (WA) Pty Ltd for the use of their facilities, and everyone who got involved throughout the day.
