Women’s wellness and longevity

I am in my 50’s and realise there is so much to learn about women’s health and wellness!

I am not a fan of osteoporosis medication. My late mum was major active, hill walking for many years and was put on osteoporosis medication in her 50/60s. I don’t believe she had a dexa scan nor was I was aware of any fractures at this time.

When she was around 75/76 years she got really unwell. It turned out she had myeloma cancer (very manageable for a few years). During this time her bones were also crumbling so she was on cancer treatment as well as being injected with something to strengthen her bones.

She was unwell for 4/5 years and suffered alot.

Around 5/6 years ago I got a dexa scan and results showed i had osteopenia. Since then I have ate much more healthier, less processed food, lots more pilates, clean supplements plus last 2/3 years on HRT. I got a 2nd bone scan a few months ago and my bone density has got slightly better.

I am not a fan of big pharma osteo meds and instead believe we can improve our bone density by lifestyle changes etc.

I understand in some cases when bone density is so bad and quality of life is poor then medical science wins over natural methods.

I love the below video 💜
