Today I laid down to take a 20 minute break and woke up three hours later as my son is with his dad. I have a lot of orders to get on top of which I am so thankful for that they’re coming back through again even if it’s slow and I have creams I need to make and I started to formulate and I made a mistake and decided today is not the day to waste a lot of money on making mistakes in the formulation room so tomorrow I shall be getting them all up-to-date and hopefully having everyone’s order shipped out by Tuesday.

Last week I shared that I was building my business again from scratch and I want to chat about this once a week through founder content. I don’t want to just post the highs and make you all think that I’m constantly doing a really great job because there are weeks where I am and there are weeks where I’m not at the moment I’m stuck in a months where I’m not doing well, but I’m slowly building back up recently meta swapped to an AI driven system and I was one of the first accounts to get that and what that means in short is that the AI now uses the creative to find the audience but the problem for me is that I am a small business and I don’t have a massive amount of data coming through for the algorithm to understand who my buyer is. I’ve had a few issues in the past where Meta had done an update and things like my purchase pixel were unplugged from purchase page and so what that means is the algorithm couldn’t figure out who was buying my products and this went unknown for a week and a half and in that week and a half that unplugged purchase pixel and unplugged CAPI did so much damage to my advertising account that in a month the algorithm had completely forgotten who my buyer was now I’m not a media buyer and I don’t know a whole lot about how to run ads so by the time I realised what was going on we were two months in of bad data and that’s two months of lost revenue and loss profit. I’ve now figured out how to retrain the AI to understand who wants to buy from me and I’m slowly rebuilding through return customers and trying to get more data into my meta advertisement. This doesn’t usually affect the companies who have a lot of money and are able to pump through money into their advertising accounts because they are able to bring in mass amounts of data but for us small businesses it affects us immensely so if there’s one thing that you’ve learnt from this video about small business and matter make a purchase because your purchase matters more like share comment on videos because again that helps us organically through this AI world. It helps the AI understand who wants to see our content and who to deliver that to.

I’ve done a nice big batch of the Australian botanical face cream which most of it is headed out to a stockist.

I feel like so much has happened for me over the last 10 weeks. It’s been crazy exhausting and I miss how my business was running but at the same time I feel like I’m starting from scratch again and it’s the best opportunity to make this work even better than before.

Whilst I’m quiet on the socials, I am still busy in the background trying to figure out what is going on with meta ads

This is not just a bunch of oils mixed together and called a Cleaner. This is a true formulation that is actually very difficult to make one tiny mistake can see hundreds of dollars of product wasted. This particular formulation has to be my favourite. It also uses very premium ingredients. Ingredients that do not cost a little amount of money they are in fact on the very expensive end but I still choose to sell this certain product at an affordable price.

It is made with coldpressed oils rose floral water and my favourite ingredient which is glycerin held together with a natural cold emulsification system

Today I’m only making a very small batch because I accidentally forgot to order my products and I’ve quickly done that and they’re on their way for the next batch.

My son is sick. I’m not feeling great. My labelling machine is broken so here I am labelling all of your orders in the back of my van at the front of the community library because small town living means we don’t have an Officeworks.

Am I complaining absolutely not this is the first time I’ve had peace and quiet for the last two days and it feels really nice
