Why am I still having to make posts like this?
Why are mums still having to deal with this?
If you’ve seen the now viral video of a mum breastfeeding on a plane, you’ll know exactly what I’m about to say. Not just because we founded Bubka, a brand that specialises in empowering mums to feed any way they wish, but as a mum, who breastfed both bubs whenever and wherever it was necessary.
I’m disappointed for the way this mum was made to feel that she was the problem.
I’m disappointed for the way the flight attendant tried to handle the situation
I’m disappointed that there are still people like this man who thought it was perfectly appropriate to complain AND film the situation.
I’m just disappointed.

Is this about me?? I read this post by ABC News today and really thought it was. I’m sure many mums saw themselves in this post.
This is exactly why we started doing what we do at Bubka. Because if I was in the trenches, pumping and breastfeeding, receiving conflicting advice, trying to figure out why I had an oversupply, mastitis, vasospasm, why I was being told to block feed, why doctors wanted to prescribe my bub Movicol at the age of 6 weeks instead of finding the route cause, there would be so many mums out there going through the same thing.
A senate inquiry into postpartum is exactly what we need and, if you have the time between feeds, consider adding your submission before 9 October.
