Ok team, I need an ID on this plant please

I couldn’t find a 100% natural deodorant that ticked all the boxes. So I started making my own.

I wanted to reduce the number of chemicals I expose my skin to on a daily basis and changing to a natural deodorant seemed like a really good place to start. I started experimenting with natural deodorants but I couldn’t find one that was 1. all natural 2. plastic free & 3. super effective.

I discovered that DIY deodorant was a thing so I thought why not try and make my own?! I set about researching how i could make a deodorising paste that I could just keep in a jar or tin. As a hand drummer, I knew of the amazing powers of shea butter and i’ve always loved coconut oil, so a simple deodorant based on these 2 yummy natural ingredients seemed perfect.

For the dry ingredients, I chose tapioca flour and a small amount of bicarb soda. I perfumed it with oils that are known for their deodorising and antibacterial qualities, and which also smell amazing. The result: a brilliantly effective deodorant that is at the same time incredibly moisturising and has a beautiful subtle scent. Once i’d made a batch of what i considered the perfect formula, I passed some on to friends and family and they also loved it and urged me to share it with others. One thing led to another and here we are!
