When size matters… it’s all about choosing the right bond for YOUR hair. 🤍

Not every client needs the same extension method — and even within keratin bonds, size can make a huge difference.

✨ Mini bonds can be perfect for finer hair, around the hairline, temples, or anywhere we want the bonds to feel extra discreet and lightweight.

✨ 1 gram keratin bonds are ideal when we need more density, stronger coverage and a fuller transformation — especially through the back and thicker sections of the hair.

Sometimes I’ll even use a combination of both to create the most natural result possible.

The goal isn’t simply to add as much hair as we can. It’s to choose the right weight, placement and bond size to suit your natural hair so your extensions blend beautifully and remain comfortable to wear.

For this gorgeous result we added just 50 grams of Keratin Mini Bonds in Colour #2 — enough to create a little extra fullness, soften the ends and give the hair a more polished finish without making it look heavy or “extension-y.”

Sometimes you don’t need a huge transformation. You just need the right amount of hair, placed in the right areas, to make your natural hair look fuller and healthier.

What a transformation 🤎

Today we added 150 grams of keratin bonds, using a custom blend of 1B + 2 to work with Sammi’s colour as it presented today.

Sammi normally sits around a 2, but after colouring her hair last night, it grabbed much darker than expected and was reading closer to a 1 today. Because we know that fresh colour will soften and fade over the next few washes, we chose not to match her with solid black.

Instead, we added some 1B through the 2 to give us enough depth for a beautiful blend now, while still allowing the extensions to work with her natural colour as it lightens back up.

This is why colour matching isn’t always about matching exactly what we see on the day — sometimes it’s about thinking ahead to where the hair is going to settle. ✨

Will 150 grams of hair extensions be enough? ✨

The answer is… it depends on the hair you’re starting with and the result you want.

150g can create a beautiful transformation, especially on finer to medium-density hair. But if your natural hair is very thick, quite blunt, or you want to go significantly longer, you may need more hair to get that seamless, full finish through the ends.

It’s not just about adding length — it’s about making sure your natural hair blends beautifully into the extensions so there’s no obvious “step” between the two.

That’s why I look at:

* your natural hair density and thickness
* your current length and haircut
* how much longer you want to go
* how full you want the finished result

For some girls, 100–150g is perfect. For others, 175–200g+ gives the better blend.

The goal is never simply “more hair.” It’s the right amount of hair for you. 🤍
