Our bodies contain a unique system of microbes, including both good and bad bacteria, which need to be in the right balance to avoid the bad outweighing the good. This is called the microbiome.
Both probiotics and prebiotics play a crucial role in regulating the microbiome. Below is how they both work together to benefit not only our gut health, but also our overall health:
PROBIOTICS
Beneficial bacterial strains that maintain the balance within the gut. It's said that the more probiotics present within the gut, the more robust the microbiome.
↓
THEY METABOLISE PREBIOTICS
Prebiotics are like the fuel for probiotics - they "feed" the good bacteria, helping them thrive.
↓
CREATE SHORT-CHAIN FATTY ACIDS
As probiotics metabolise prebiotics, they create short-chain fatty acids, which nourish the cells that line the gut.
↓
BENEFITS TO HEALTH
This process improves the conditions within the gut, including its function and the integrity of the gut barrier. The short-chain fatty acids can also travel via the bloodstream and send signals to other organs, such as the brain, benefiting other functions in the body.
It's therefore very beneficial to consume a prebiotic alongside a probiotic, and you can combine the effectiveness of both with GiPro Balance.

Taking vitamins is important because they play a crucial role in maintaining good health and ensuring the proper functioning of the body. Here are some reasons why taking vitamins is important and why I have not missed a day in 2 decades :
1️⃣Nutritional gaps: Even with a well-balanced diet, it can be challenging to obtain all the necessary nutrients from food alone. Certain vitamins may be lacking in your diet due to personal food preferences, dietary restrictions, or limited availability of certain foods. Taking vitamins can help bridge these nutritional gaps and ensure you meet your daily requirements.
2️⃣Support overall health: Vitamins are essential for various bodily functions. They act as coenzymes, which are necessary for the proper functioning of enzymes that facilitate chemical reactions in the body. Each vitamin has specific roles, such as supporting immune function, promoting energy production, aiding in cell growth and repair, maintaining healthy skin and hair, supporting bone health, and contributing to cognitive function.
3️⃣Prevention of vitamin deficiencies: Vitamin deficiencies can lead to various health problems. For example, vitamin C deficiency can cause scurvy, vitamin D deficiency can result in weakened bones (rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults), and vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to anemia and neurological problems. Taking vitamins helps prevent these deficiencies and the associated health conditions.
4️⃣Support immune function: Certain vitamins, particularly vitamin C, vitamin D, and vitamin A, play vital roles in supporting the immune system. They help strengthen the immune response, enhance the production of antibodies, and promote the proper functioning of immune cells. Adequate levels of these vitamins are important for maintaining a healthy immune system, which is crucial for fighting off infections and illnesses.
5️⃣Increased nutrient needs: Certain life stages or conditions may increase the body's nutrient requirements. For example, pregnant women require additional folic acid and iron, older adults may have reduced nutrient absorption, and individuals with specific health conditions may have increased nutrient needs. In such cases, taking vitamins or dietary supplements can help meet these increased requirements.
It's important to note that while taking vitamins can be beneficial, it's generally recommended to obtain nutrients from a balanced diet whenever possible.
Another thing to keep in mind is not all supplements are the same quality wise. It is important to take supplements that are in their purest of form and not loaded with chemicals, synthetics or toxins that can do more harm to the body.
Before starting any vitamin supplementation, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional to determine your specific nutritional needs and ensure you choose the right supplements.

Frog pose is not a pose most people reach for on purpose.
It looks a little awkward from the outside, knees wide, hips low, forearms flat against the mat. It does not photograph the way a graceful backbend does. But it quietly does more for the body than most poses that look far more impressive.
The hips carry more tension than almost any other part of the body, especially for anyone who sits for long stretches of the day. Frog pose opens that area directly, gently, without forcing anything.
Many people also find it eases knee tension over time, since it works the joint through a range of motion most daily movement never touches. It supports posture the same way, by loosening what has quietly tightened from sitting.
There is a digestive benefit some people notice too, along with a sense of calm that tends to show up during the pose rather than after it. Some women also find it helpful for easing menstrual discomfort, though everybody's body responds a little differently.
You do not need to hold it long or perfectly to get something out of it. A minute or two, breathing slowly, is enough to start.
Try holding frog pose for one slow minute today.
Notice which part of your hips feels the most resistance.
Give yourself permission to modify it if it feels like too much.
Not every stretch that helps the most is the one that looks the most impressive.
I will be doing this at Yoga Class tonight Lots of different poses I normally attend Yoga class 3x a week if not special mtgs Have some of those this week But I am consistent in attending Enjoy
