Been working really hard to make these. I bought so much of this branded lashes. I find the base is a little stiff at times but I persevered and I’m starting to learn how to work with it. Moral of this story is... if you don’t push on you’ll never progress.

REPOST

The good, the bad, the ugly

It's been 4 days since I've had my lash extensions.

Day one
Eye were irritated, red eyes and stingy. Felt some heaviness on the eyelids making me feel tired.
Cause: first lashing experience. Eyes not use to having extra weight on the lash line causing eye to stress. Fumes from lash glue still strong causing red eye.

Day two
Right eye perfectly fine, but left eye felt sore, red and stingy.
Cause: weariness from day one.

Day 3
Sting was gone. Eyes adapted to the weight of the lash extension. However red eye got more visible and centralised just to the inner corner on my left eye
Cause: loose lash trapped in the eye. Took some time to locate and remove. Red eyes on inner corner darkened due to loose lash. Unrelated to lash process, but still an incident.

Day 4
Eyes feel fine but red eye still there.
Cause: Loose lash after effects

Reflection:
Lash extensions is not all glitz and glam without after effects. Not everyone is the same. Each person will have a different reaction to the lashing process. Some will have minor reaction to the glue fumes and red eye will go away within the hour and some may have persistent red eye/allergic symptoms.

Initial process is to get a patch test. This will help to identify if you are allergic. It's a good way to start since individual reactions will vary. Although this is recommended, only a small amount of glue is used so you may not feel anything and assume it's ok. When returning for the full lashing procedure more glue is used so the effect and fumes will be more stronger and may result in unexpected irritation.

I'm training to be a lash tech, but I'd also like to share my experience and share some knowledge on what to expect and to think about your eye safety when considering lash extensions. After this experience I'm still booking in my refills. I'm not allergic so I'm ok to continue. My red eye will subside in time. All in all I simply love them, but safety awareness is very important. This message is not to scare you but to educate. 🙂

Red eye is what I'll be rocking for another week I reckon 😔

Been a while since my last volume session, but pretty happy with the results. It’s difficult to upskill when your not constantly in practice. Having no real opportunity to get my application time down to the minimum 2 hour slot. With a full time job I have procrastinated on getting that volume certificate. Losing motivation and pressed for time. I won’t give up lashing as I do enjoy the transformations. Just look at the before and after shots. Who wouldn’t be happy. I know I have a long way to go. However, for now I’ll just be happy with.... slowly but surely.

Gotta appreciate the classic black and white snaps. Accentuate and creates boldness.

So this just came in. So in love with my super cute aftercare bags to package my lash aftercare items for retail. Gives it a little extra luxe appeal. 😍😍😍

Bislash haul. Trying out these silks since I don’t yet know the textural difference between silks and minks.

when it takes 50 shots and only end up with a few great photos. Sometime photos just don’t do the real thing justice. I used my own handmade pre mades on my sis. Even though I wasn’t creating fans on the go, I now have hope that I can produce good work when I get quicker at making them .
