The therapeutic properties of sea water and marine life have been known to mankind as far back as ancient civilisations. During the last century, hydrotherapy spas were developed in Europe, and their popularity has remained ever since. Behind its distinctive colonial-style exterior there's everything you'd expect to find in a world class hydrotherapy spa. The centrepiece, a magnificent swimming pool for relaxation, and an analytic pool with 6 hydrotherapy exercise stations, combined with the 2 hydrotherapy spas, 3 body wrap wet-treatment rooms, 5 facial treatment rooms, 3 massage rooms and a vichy shower. Enrich yourself with a half day, full day or several-day program, or choose from one of our extensive range of packages. There are rejuvenating retreats for couples, and packages designed specially with conferences and bridal parties in mind. Choose from one of our standard packages or create one to suit your individual needs.

The VELA concept was never about being super flashy and futuristic.
We wanted to create a space that felt part of and connect to our beautiful landscape. Luxurious but timeless.
Warm tones, soft textures, raw materials, with room to exhale and unwind.
This quiet zone, located just outside our float rooms is perhaps our favourite.
It’s a space for you to decompress before your treatment or slowly recover before reentering your day.
We love it, particularly in the afternoon when the sunlight gently filters through the frosted glass.

✨ 1st September - VIP Early Access
If you have joined our waitlist or were a past Villa Thalgo customer you will have exclusive first access to bookings from the 1st September 2026. Look out for an email on the last weekend of August with your direct link to book!
🎉 22nd September - Offical Public Opening
VELA Spa & Bathhouse will officially open to the public on Tuesday 22nd September. By this time you will be able to book directly on our website velaspa.com.au or by calling us 😊

Good Morning Everyone! You may be wondering why our Facebook name has not yet changed to VELA Spa & Bathhouse. Facebook have a minimum 60-day rule where we cannot change our business name more than once during this period. We have tried all we can to request an exemption through meta but unfortunately this has not been granted.
Long story short, we hope to have our page name updated to VELA Spa & bathhouse on 23 August 2026.
