One thing I can tell you is that Aruba - has
GREAT FOOD AND GREAT FOOD SELECTIONS!!!

Our welcome supper courtesy of the Ala Carte Restaurant- MAREA House of Grill - Iberostar Joia - picked out by our BDM - Jason V Gignac - was more than a pleasant surprise for our hungry bunch of travel agents. It had been a long day. For me starting the night before at 9 pm travelling to the airport and a red eye connection to this beautiful island they call Aruba.

The meal was served to us in family portions much like you would see at PF Changs. And BTW - they have one here!!!

So we all got to share. It was delicious from start to end and our bellies were more than full.

If you are a Foodie - you will not be Disappointed!!! Thank you Jason for your selection and thank you to Carlos and your team for the meal!!! 💚💚💚💚💚

***An average meal price per person for what we had was approximately $85 USD per person very comparable to what we would see here in Alberta

To help celebrate this most awesome day it’s important to share some background…It’s to celebrate the Iconic Plastic Lawn Ornament originally created by sculptor Don Featherstone who first created this image in 1957. 🦩🦩That’s wayyy older than me!!!

People today celebrate this day of kitschy fun and whimsy by decorating their yards with vibrant pink plastic statues 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Tell me…. Has anyone been surprised with a Flamboyance “flock” of pink flamingos on their lawn to celebrate a birthday????

Travel Agents Log: Day Two

Time: 3:00 pm June 9,2026
Location: Aruba Airport

Landed almost on time, smooth Flights with and the fastest I have ever gotten thru an airport with customs and collecting my checked bag - usually it’s an hour but we landed and we’re out in a half hour!!! Very impressed. 🩷🩷

We also discovered the best least inexpensive place to purchase alcohol 🍷 was at the duty free store at the airport so of course we had to oblige!!

Transfer to our resort was quick n easy as well!!
We think we have lots of round-abouts now in Alberta - there are every where on this small island, but they know how to use them here lol

First night comprised of getting acquainted with our room and then a welcome supper.
