I’ve never felt the need to argue with anyone over football because at the end of the day it’s just a sport. Winning and losing are both part of the journey.

But mocking people’s emotions after a match says more about you than it does about the game.

And who are you to decide whether a win is “shameful” or not? You’re nobody to rewrite the result or diminish what happened on the pitch.

For me, Lionel Messi will always be the greatest to ever play the game and no amount of trolling or hate will change that.

Support your team, celebrate your wins, but don’t disrespect the emotions of others. Loyalty, love, and the tears fans shed for their team are real and those things can never be bought.
