Safe Delivery Techniques for the Baby's Head.

The Burns-Marshall maneuver is a key obstetric procedure during breech births, facilitating the safe delivery of the baby's after-coming head.

By combining gravity and controlled movement, this technique involves an initial hands-off approach, followed by an upward sweep of the baby's trunk and legs.

This maneuver helps prevent neck injuries and ensures a safe delivery.

Crowning is the stage of labor where the baby's head remains visible at the vaginal opening between contractions.

​The Sensation: Often called the "ring of fire," it involves a brief, intense stinging or burning as the tissues stretch.

​Controlled Delivery: At this point, mothers are usually told to breathe or pant rather than push hard. This slow emergence helps the skin stretch naturally to minimize tearing.

​Final Step: Once the head is out, the baby rotates to allow the shoulders to pass, and the birth is typically completed within a few moments.
