in Kali-Eskrima-Silat, a traditional Southeast Asian weapons-based martial art that heavily features Filipino stick and knife combat (Kali and Eskrima).
Kali / Eskrima / Arnis: These are related umbrella terms for the national martial arts of the Philippines. They focus intensely on weapon use, including single and double rattan sticks, daggers, and sharp blades.
Core Principles: Training relies on the same angles of attack and footwork whether using a weapon or empty hands, often utilizing a "live hand" (the non-weapon hand) for trapping, blocking, and disarming opponents.
