Being a nail technician was not apart of my plan. It was a challenge for me in the 10th grade so I practiced and practiced, on myself! It was a mere hobby.

I lost my job one year and became inclined to do my nails more often. By that, people started asking, “Who does your nails?” I decided to give it a shot. It was a means of making money right? I went from house calls, to home based then a salon all in 2012. During this time, I was still applying myself to the field I thought I should’ve been in! That didn’t work out! I remember having a melt down and asking God to please help me to express the creativity that I know lies within. I went in this profession under the assumption that getting your nails done was seasonal. I lacked confidence and paid too much attention to competition. I remember having three clients, a week and having to borrow money to pay booth rental.

My breakthrough came in 2014. I had both, what I thought I should’ve been doing and where God had taken me! As I sat behind my office desk, I felt this desire to converse. I needed to see color! I needed to create. It was by that, when I realized that I loved being a nail technician!

Since 2014, I’ve been full time and God has blessed me beyond measure!
