General Graphics Design
When What Creations was conceptualised in 2007, it started off as a Hobby aimed at graphics Design. The creator, Mpumelelo Keamoitse Bhebhe, had finished a course in graphics design and business management, and had been working for a number of Design Agencies as a designer, when he decided to break out on his own, as a way to explore his talents and creativity, unbound by agency limits. What Creations started off solely creating corporate logos, promotional materials, T-Shirt Designs (FYN Wear) and CD Covers for local artists for organizations such as YOHO, Segopolo & Associates and Befolake, a consultancy company. Today, the Graphics Department covers design work from Signage, Stationary, Packaging, Advertising, and Clothing. Brand Revamping and Re-Branding
With time, What Creations expanded its horizons to include services such as Brand re-branding and re-vamping. When one wants a rebrand of their current image, this means that Market research is conducted to find out what the brand image should look like, comparing to international companies in the same field and a whole new completely coordinated corporate brand is created based on a client brief and the results of the visual research. What Creations noticed that a number of companies created, designed logos that were not industrially acceptable, professionally designed and aesthetically pleasing. We found that the greater number of clients required their brands to be brought up to the required standard to promote growth; thus the creation of the service known as revamping. Revamping is where a client comes in with an existing brand (logo) and it is face lifted. Like a child’s face, a brand needs to change slightly with time. At What Creations, we realised that a brands life span may last a lifetime, but it should change minimally to appeal to the changing times and generations (clientele) being served by the company. All companies that start their brands with What Creations are entitled to a revamp every two (2) years, if they wish. Brand Consultancy and Signage Liaison
Brand Consultancy is another venture taken up by What Creations. As what Creations grew in reputation and market size, the need for signage and advertising grew imperative. We sourced the best economic means to satisfy this need. The knowledge and experience gained from personal growth on branding and signage is passed on to our clients. Not all that require our services need the artistic creations of What Creations, sometimes the client needs some advice on how and where it is best to use their brand. What Creations was on a number of occasions contracted by the Design Agencies that he worked for and some international agencies to create and coordinate event themes such as conferences; this is why we created the service known as Event, Conference or Workshop Visual and Theme Coordination. In this wing, What Creations creates a theme for the event and coordinates all visual material, including name tags, place cards, gazebos, A4 landscape and portrait Forms, all types of Banners, Invitations, Backdrops, Car signage, etc. This is for short events such as Conferences, Weddings, Workshops, Press conferences and Launches. We do not stop at design and coordination; we will source and supply all requirements. We have been identified as an agent of a South African supplier of such items, who have guaranteed a lower price of sale in comparison to our competing local suppliers, who buy as end users to resell. Upon supplying and servicing a number of conferences and clients, we realised that there was a niche in supply for the corporate gifts and coordinated clothing for events and organizations in general. What Creations would source and supply these items for clients. We also recognized that a number of companies required these services, and so to save client funds and to ease all transactions, What Creations registered with Amrod™, a corporate gifts and apparel supply company in South Africa, that solely sell high quality products at affordable prices to resellers of the items. This saves the end-users against large mark-ups we experienced, as we deal directly with the suppliers. With the growing of our market to international clients, we saw the need to advertise internationally through online platforms. Clients started to request interface designs for web applications and phone apps; thus the expansion of services to Web Design and Application. What Creations started designing the interface of online marketing tools as an expansion of brands. Today, What Creations has expanded to include full interface design and development of different styles of websites including, but not limited to, Static Websites, Dynamic websites, online stores and Phone apps. We also provide Email hosting and Web hosting. With the free online social media sites, we have advised some clients to take advantage of the ability to customise their interfaces. This is the latest of our services. With the development of our online presence, we realised the need for more visually stimulating artworks; hence the creation of this service band. Happy clients challenged What Creations with the conceptualisation of their interior; which we gladly took up. What Creations have, on a discreet number of occasions, delved in Interior Décor and consultancy. We have redecorated and consulted offices and homes, alike, ours included. Our involvement included design and coordination of the redecoration. One time, we ourselves took part in actively repainting a room. We wish to one day expand this division further.
