I used to share my children’s faces online… until I realised strangers were watching them grow up too.

That thought changed everything for me.

When I first started sharing online, I never questioned it. I was just a proud mum sharing moments I loved.

But over time, I realised the internet isn’t just full of friends and family… It’s full of strangers too.

People I don’t know. People I’ll never meet. People who could save a photo, share it, or follow my children’s lives without me ever knowing.

And while I know the vast majority of people who follow me are kind, the reality is that not everyone online has good intentions.

That was enough for me to stop.

Not because I’m ashamed of my children.
Not because I want to hide them.

But because they deserve the chance to decide for themselves how much of their lives belongs on the internet.

So these days, you’ll rarely see their faces.

Not because I love sharing them any less. But because I love protecting them even more.

One day, they’ll be old enough to decide what parts of their lives belong online.

Until then… I’d rather be safe than sorry. 🤍
