Hypertonicity of the psoas muscle can create significant instability throughout the body because the psoas plays a major role in supporting the spine, pelvis, and hip movement. When it becomes tight or overactive, it can pull the pelvis out of alignment, increase compression in the lower back, and reduce proper core stabilization. This often leads to compensations in the hips, knees, and even the feet, making balance and movement less efficient.
