Fear of doing a friend's hair because the belief they'd hate it really took over me.

When Shania asked me to do her wedding hair, thankfully that fear never showed up.

Cue the silent rage I felt towards myself when I noticed a tiny section of her bun had come loose during the ceremony. 😅 Thankfully I always carry emergency pins, so I was able to pin it right back up.

A little reminder to my brides: we're human. Sometimes things happen!

Low buns like this are prime real estate for people's arms when they hug you, so every now and then a pin can shift. That's why before I leave, I'll always show someone in your bridal party exactly where to pop in an emergency pin if this ever happens.

I'd much rather prepare for the "just in case" than pretend it could never happen. 🤍

Kind of a full circle moment for me;

I followed my brother to Canada in 2014. (I wouldn’t have made it if he didn’t do it first 😂)
My first job was at Sunshine Village not even in a hair salon!

11 years later I got chosen to do some hair at Sunshine for the first time and even contemplated how cool it would be to have a wedding there myself 😅 & I got to ride the gondola for a catch up with Makeup By Sam which is always a joy!
