I very much enjoy the entire creative process from the initial designing on paper, to the cutting, carving, sanding, staining, painting, and the finishing touches. I prefer the natural beauty of the wood grain that shows through in my finished product, so I use translucent paints and pure Clays for color. My own carving technique & accenting with textured paints adds depth & dimension to my work and gives each piece a unique look and feel. Each item is individually handcrafted so you will find variations in size, shape, color, and expression in every piece of work..
